Everyone at our studio is following HBO's new series, Westworld. We're big fans of the show and we love the attention to detail. The maze logo in particular caught our attention, it is used quite frequently and shown repeatedly (at least, up to Episode 6). I decided to 3D print my own maze.

The first step was to do a 2D drawing of the maze logo. The reason for this is two-fold, firstly, it will help with creating the 3D model later, and secondly, with the 2D drawing in vector format, I can create vinyl-cut stickers as well. Working off references, the maze logo was hand-drawn as accurately as possible to the one shown on screen. There are slight variations of it (i.e. when it is used in 3D and when it is imprinted), so the one I drew is fairly generic and takes details from all the different logo appearances you see on-screen.

Once the 2D is complete, it was just a matter of making it 3D. I first printed a "small" size maze (smaller than palm-size). Then, I shrunk it down and 3D printed miniature ones with a loop at the top to be used as keychain fobs, which worked pretty well! Photos below:
