2012 Maserati GranTurismo 3D Scan

Italian luxury marque Maserati manufactured the GranTurismo, an iconic grand touring supercar for about a decade from 2007 to 2017. The GranTurismo’s performance and luxury characteristics are reflected in the exterior body: such as the long front hood and intricate chrome trims. These traits are normally difficult to capture accurately with traditional 3D laser scanners. Our equipment measures with high power blue laser technology, allowing us to pick up all the dark and mirror-like surfaces without any issues or use of additional opaque powders. The entire scan was performed at high resolution, making it suitable for product development, exterior enhancement for both aerodynamics and cosmetics, and motorsport engineering.

Note: this data was not captured with entry-level or hobby-grade white light scanners or photogrammetry. The scan was performed with our metrology-grade 3D laser scanner and retains extremely high volumetric accuracy, suitable for professional and engineering applications.
