The Subaru WRX STI is a well-known vehicle among enthusiasts who want a Japanese all-wheel-drive (AWD) platform. It is also a popular choice for motorsport racing and aftermarket modifications.
The Porsche 911 is a popular high-performance vehicle and a well-known sports car. But it is also known for having precise curves and surfaces; all specifically proportioned to reflect the corresponding generation and time.
Laser scanning is the initial step in developing car interior accessories. For this project, we provided laser scanning, reverse engineering, and product design services for Workshop12.
In order to design aftermarket components with OEM-like fitment, we captured a full exterior scan of the 2012-2016 Subaru BRZ at high accuracy. This data is later used for product development and design prototyping.
This project's objective was to scan the entire Scion FR-S (also known as the Toyota GT86 outside of North America); sibling to the Subaru BRZ. We scanned both versions (FR-S and BRZ), and data is used for the development of custom-designed exterior accessories (aftermarket bodykits).
