Laser Scanning Globoid Worm Gear

Globoid worm is a complex gear type consisting of precise curves and surfaces. For this project, we were tasked to perform a full industrial-grade laser scan and reverse-engineering of the worm and gear assembly. The components were scanned at high resolution and accuracy, and manually reverse-engineered for optimal precision.
